Our Mission Call

I hope they call me on a mission, before I grow another foot or two (around) I hope our visas comes through some time, so we can teach and preach and do what missionaries do. In July 2013, Craig and I were called to serve as Office Specialist Missionaries in the Brazil Fortaleza East Mission for the LDS Church, to report to the MTC here in Provo on February 17, 2014. We were quite distraught that the report date was so far away, but we have since learned that obtaining visas for missionaries to enter Brazil is quite challenging, especially for Senior Missionaries! At this point, our visa applications have still not been submitted to the Brazilian Consulate by the Church Missionary Department! We may end up needing to be re-assigned to another mission. That option will be visited towards the end of January. In the meantime, I'm still working (SLOWLY) on Portuguese, and we're planning and hoping to fill that original assignment. As soon as we have any update, we will post on this site. Truly, no matter where it is, we are excited to serve the Lord as missionaries, and assist in the work of bringing people to the wonderful knowledge that we have of our Savior, and what His Life and Teachings can mean in our lives!
