GOOD EXAMPLES
Craig and I have each endured many harsh Utah and Wyoming winters, but we have learned that the Northeast has its own special brand of winter weather. We've seen Church cancelled, the Temple closed, schools released early, etc due to severe weather. As mentioned before, we have a Temple shift on Tuesday mornings, so on Monday nights we carefully check the weather forecast. A few weeks ago during a Tuesday morning snow storm we were tempted to make our 30-minute drive a little later in the morning, and be late for our shift. But then we thought of the Stephensons - they live in New Hampshire, and have been getting up at 3:30 a.m. to come to the Temple to do a DOUBLE SHIFT each Tuesday. It's always nice to have people around who go above and beyond, who set a good example for the rest of us - it helps motivate us!
Under the category of "we are doing whatever little thing we can..." we decided our Branch's Bulletin Board needed a facelift. With permission, and the help of our darling Sisters, we got a start yesterday. We didn't have what we needed for two of the corners, but it looks a little brighter, and we will endeavor to get pictures of all Branch members (at least, those who will let us!) and Investigating Friends on the Board. We want to do anything we can to make each member and visitor feel welcome, included and needed.
