SPEAK UP!

As missionaries we are supposed to be bold in inviting God’s children to Come Unto Christ.  That, of course, includes repenting and being baptized.  Craig and I CAN be strong at times, but are not always as bold as we should be.  Meet adorable Jo.  She is from Wales and has the most glorious accent.  She told us about an experience on her mission: She and her companion were in the home of a lady who had been a member of the Church for over 40 years.  Her husband was very supportive and often attended Church with her, but he had never been baptized.  As a young missionary, Jo looked at him and asked boldly why he had never joined the Church.  He smiled and said nobody had asked him, and at 80-something he was baptized!  We are taking strength in her example!

A missionary in our Zone shared a similar experience.  He said his father was converted to the Church and was baptized while in High School.  A few years later he met a High School friend who had found the Gospel in College.  When his friend realized that the missionary’s father had joined the Church in High School he felt so badly that he hadn’t shared the Good News with him then.  So join us in Speaking Up!

We aren’t attracting as many people to teach as we would like, but the deer like us!  This is our BACKYARD - taken out our bedroom window!!!!

  1. Thanks for the experiences that you shared. It is so important to have the Spirit to be us, so that we can be bold and the Spirit will be carried unto the hearts of those you teach.
